Midshires Building Society Money Box in the shape of a round head with just two eyes on it. Money boxes were give free to children to encourage them to save. They had to take them into a branch to get the money out as no key was given with them.

A medal issued for the 1937 coronation of George V. on the reverse side is the Redditch Coat of Arms

RDDHM.2022.134 – Building Society Money Box

Lloyds Bank Money box in the form of a Book. Building Society money boxes were supplied to children to encourage saving. The base is opened with a key (not supplied) which was held by the Society, the money would then be placed in the account.
