Description: Building Society money boxes were supplied to children to encourage saving. The base is opened with a key (not supplied) which was held by the Society, the money would then be placed in the account.
Notes: The box is plated metal and probably dates from the 1930s. It comes in its own cardboard box with the account number printed on the outside. The account number is also stamped on the base of the metal moneybox

Notes: It was supplied damp and required drying out over several weeks using absorbent tissues between pages. It is not in good condition generally but the photographs are undamaged.

Description: 2 Deposit Ledgers from 1859 to 1889 and 1892 to 1927 both approx. 33cm high, 22 cm wide, 4 cm deep, plus 3 Notebooks of Minutes of Meeting 1872 to 1878, 1885 to 1890 and 1885 to 1899.
Notes: The lady who donated these documents worked at the Birmingham Midshires Building Society. She ‘rescued’ them when the Society was taken over by the Lloyds Banking Group and moved into Kingfisher Centre from their site on Church Green West.

Notes: Photograph taken at the Cadbury ground in Bournville where typically many competition matches took place.
